Background images not displaying

For some reason background images have disappeared after doing some updates. I can’t get any background images to show…even when I create a new page.
Running Wordpress 5.4.1
X Theme 6.4.6
PHP 7.3.6

Are there any compatibility issues I’m not aware of?

Thanks for reaching out.

There is no known compatibility issue with backgrounds, may I know the site you’re currently referring?

But, if you update your cornerstone to the latest version while your theme remains on X 6.4.6 then it could be the issue. You should update your theme as well once you update cornerstone.
