Background image only works on preview

Hi there

Ive built many many sites with this theme, its amazing, and never experienced this.

The image background does not work… it only works for the cornerstone preview. I can change the color and that works fine, but not images.

thanks!

the website is www.vsmegrappling.com

Hello Carlos,

This seems to be compatibility issue. You have X 6.5.6 and Cornerstone 4.2.3. X should be updated too to version 7.2.3. Please update X theme and then check again.

Let us know how this goes.

Hi there

thank you for the reply.

My dashboard tells me my theme is up to date and is not prompting me to update… I noticed i do indeed have 6.5.6… and my child theme is active as well. but like i said, its not prompting me t update.

How can i update the the theme? thank you

Hello Carlos,

Please go to the Admin Updates dashboard then click on check again.

If that doesn’t work, try to revoke your validation then validate the theme again and see if you get the update option for X.

If you are not seeing the revoke validation option on the top of the page, try scrolling to the most bottom part of the page.

Please make sure to clear your site and browser cache after updating.

Hope this helps.

Hi there

No, it didnt work… In case it helps, this is a multisite, and both sites are having the same issue. We have two separate licenses for each site, but both themes are at v6.5.6

I revoked validation on both sites, cleared my cache, pressed chack again, and they are still not updating. I have re-validated the lisences and they are still not updating.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate the help.

Forgot to mention, i am using a child theme.

Can i just download the latest version from the main support page and upload it? would that affect my child theme?

Hello Carlos,

You can login to the APEX dashboard and download the latest version of the theme. Since you are using a multisite set up, please update the theme manually. You can do the following:

1.) Go to My Sites > Network Admin > Themes
2.) Select the X theme and Network disable it.
3.) Delete the X theme.
4.) Go to the APEX dashboard and download the latest version
5.) Install the latest version in your multisite
6.) Select X theme and Network Enable it again.

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Hi Ruenel

Unfortunately, these instructions caused my website to get a critical error.

my website is inaccessible now. I have someone looking into it but if you have any support please let me know.

I was able to network deactivate, and when i deleted it it caused the whole thing to break.

Thanks in advance

Hi guys

We manually installed the new one and it is updated.

It worked. thank you!
