Background Image not showing

This is weird and I have never seen this before. The background image only appears in Brave Browser, but NOT in Safari, Firefox & Chrome. See screenshots… the image IS there…but it only shows the white background.

No Image in Chrome:

Hey Andrew,

The image is showing up on my end in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Would you mind clearing those browsers’ caches and also deactivate browser extensions temporarily. Also, test in incognito or private mode.

I’d also like to kindly request that if your site requires for us to log in, please post the log-in details in the Secure Note. This speeds things up as we won’t have to scan your previous threads for login credentials moreover if you change the credentials in the future.

Thanks.

Hi, thanks… i can see the image in all browsers now except windows edge and chrome on windows only, all my browsers on mac work just fine… any ideas? The cache has been emptied, in fact i have no background images showing in on windows browsers…

Hi Andrew,

The background-images shows on Edge on my end, please clear your Edge’s browser cache.

Thanks,

well… i have cleared the cache(a few times), AND downloaded firefox which was a fresh install. no background image. What gives here? is this some weird windows problem?

this is happening for my client… so, i really need to find out the issue here. He isnt very happy… thanks for any help…

I think this has something to do with the fact we are developing on WPengine. Have you seem anything like this before with them? In Firefox it said in the inspector…cannot load image. then i clicked the image and had to enter the dev password. then it loaded!

yup…it was WPengine, seems the dev platform doesnt always keep the SSL. so the images that were not showing were http. we ran a search and replace and made them all https, and BAM, they all work now. WPengine said we may need to do this from time to time during development and before going live. weird!

Hey Andrew,

This is usually the issue of Mixed Content see https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/security/prevent-mixed-content/fixing-mixed-content the resources are sometimes blocked when the browser detects the mixed content.

We’re glad you sorted the issue out and thank you for letting us know. Cheers!
