Background image in section of site

I would like to have an image as the background to a section. I add an image but it keeps getting cut off. How can I make the section large enough to display the entire image?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Please keep in mind that the background image dimensions will rely on how wide or high is the section container. I would recommend that you set a minimum height for your column so that the background image will have enough space to display the entirety of the image.

Hope this make sense. Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you. That makes sense, the only thing is I cannot find the place to do the setting of the height of the column. The image actually displays fine in the preview window within cornerstone, but on the actual page it does not display without being squished.

I am also OK with simply having the header image as an image element. When I try adding it in a different section on my page, the image as displayed on the actual page is not full size and I am not sure what to change to make it display full size

Hi Michael,

I advise that you place the image as an element, not as a background.

First, remove the spacing of the section where you will place the image, this will ensure that there is no container that will prevent your image to be fullwidth.

Then add a Classic Image element on that section, apply a CLASS man and STYLE width:100%; on it. And you’ll have a nice banner.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

That worked great. Thank you very much.

Hi @MichaelShook,

Happy to hear that.

Feel free to ask us again.

Thanks.
