Background colour issue on mobile devices - Cornerstone Slider

Hi there,

For some reason I can’t figure out, the logo carousel at the bottom of this page is displaying the background as transparent on mobile devices. Any ideas please?

Hello Emmett,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your site it seems that you have set the background as white.

I would suggest that you please go to Slider and set the background color as per your design.

Hope it helps
Thanks

I had tried setting the bg colour on the div, row and everything else first but it had no effect, hence why I tried adding a separate style with !important in case it made a difference but it didn’t

Hello Emmett,

I checked your site, and I cannot see the custom CSS code for the background. I would suggest going to the slider and adding this to the Element CSS code for small screens.

@media(max-width:768px){
$el.x-div{background-color:#FFEF7E !important;}
}

Please feel free to change the color code of the background as per your design. The purpose of providing custom CSS is to show you how to add CSS code to your site. Writing custom CSS is outside the scope of our theme support. If you need more customization, you need to learn CSS and learn how to use the browser’s element inspector. If you have no idea about coding, you can subscribe to One, where customization questions are answered.

Hope it helps.

Hi, yeah that’s all good - and I’m fine with adding CSS - it’s just that this is having no effect. I’ve found it’s something to do with the auto brightness on iPhone. When the brightness adjusts down, that section for some reason was going grey, whilst others were white. It’s not, however, having an effect on the images within the slider leaving them with a white boxy background. After a while the brightness adjusted and it showed as it should. It always looks fine using the inspector on Chrome etc, it’s on the mobile device itself that it’s showing incorrectly.

Hello Emmett,

I checked on my end, and it is displaying fine. I have tested it on the Google Chrome browser on an Android phone. I would suggest you please clear your browser cache and recheck it again. Please have a look at the given screenshot in the secure note.

Thanks

Hi, yes I found a fix. I’ve changed the effects on the slider, there was a brightness effect on exit - which wasn’t being affected by the iPhone’s auto-brightness feature, but the bg was. I’ve removed that and it’s working ok again now. Thanks

Hello Emmett,

We are glad to know that you were able to resolve your issue on your own.

Thanks
