Hello,
Suddenly, my backend editing is not functioning properly. My icons are appearing much smaller than and if I click somehwere to edit it doesnt work. the url is: https://www.statenislandda.org I am attaching the credentials as it is difficult to explain exactly what is happening. Thank you
Hey Jennine,
Are you referring to these icons?
They’re because of your custom CSS in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. Regretfully, we can’t help with fixing custom CSS because that is beyond the scope of our support.
I’d recommend that you replace those with V2 Image element instead. You can follow the setup in the screencast in the secure note.
Thanks.
Its not the css I’m worried about. On the frontend it fine. But I cant edit properly on the backend. Try editing the home page and then go to the careers page. It wont let you edit anything.
Hi Jennine,
I have tested editing both your homepage & careers page, and I was able to load Pro builder without any issues (see secure note).
Could you please provide us with a screencast of how to reproduce this issue, so that we can take a closer look again. Also this could be related to your current browser caching as well, so I would suggest you to check using incognito mode or private browsing mode on your browser.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
i posted a video in the secure note. ty
Hi Jennine,
Thank you for the video and sorry for the confusion here. While you’re editing a particular page, it is not possible to click on your WordPress menu links and switch to other pages.
You can only edit the content which you have loaded to Cornerstone. To edit another page, you need to load another page separately. So basically you need to exit from your current page and then you can load another page to edit.
Hope that’s clear.
i am getting this error on the careers page. I havent activated any new plugins. This was just working…then stopped suddenly. Here is the url: https://www.statenislandda.org/careers/
The credentials are in a secure note in an above posting. Thank you.
Hi Jennine,
I checked and can see there is a syntax error in your html code.
<p class="body-text" margin-top:-10px;">
I went ahead and fix it by changing it to
<p class="body-text" style="margin-top:-10px;">
```
Kindly check in your end.
Thanks
great That worked! thank you
You are most welcome.
how were you able to change the syntax error? I have that same issue happening on another site but when I click the element its not showing the markup.
Thanks
Hello @Jennine,
Please click the text element and not the section. If the element cannot be clicked, please use the skeleton mode to edit the page for faster response and easy access of the elements on the preview area.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.
that worked ty
We are delighted to assist you with this.
Cheers!
