Bacground link

Hi there

Have purchased a background plugin which gives you more control over what you can do with it. Anyway, been a while since I’ve used it and the URL function doesn’t seem to work anymore.

I have tried the JS code below but it changes the body colour of the text. Is there something wrong with the code?

jQuery(function($) {
$( “#x-root” ).wrap( “” );
});

Thanks

Hi @SEVERO,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Instead of using a third party plugin I’d recommend you to use the theme’s background feature to avoid conflicts and potential errors. You can set the background image via Theme Options > Layout and Design > Background Options

You can also set the background images on individual pages via Page Settings. Simply edit your pages in either WP Page editor or Cornerstone (see screenshot)

Please note that, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

Hope this helps!

Hi there, disabled plugin and went through those steps - same issue!

Hey @SEVERO,

I re-checked your site and I still see you’re using a third party plugin to add backgrounds (see screenshot)

Hi there, after deactivating the plugin I figured it wasn’t the plugin causing the issue so I reactivated it. The JS seems to be placing the link over the entire front of the site.

Hi @SEVERO,

We are glad that you’re able to find the root cause of your issue. If you have any other concerns, feel free to reach us.

Thank you.

Hi there, I haven’t found the issue, was just letting you know it still isn’t working :confused:

Hi @SEVERO,

Maybe this is a plugin conflict with your 3rd party plugin even though you deactivate the said 3rd party plugin, it might also conflict with the other plugins when you reactivate it. I also suggest that you follow what my colleague said to avoid conflict and potentials errors in the future.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
