This is now considered very important in SEO, and high ranking factor are the google core vitals, measured here.

Any timeline to when this file will be sorted out? As this could impact peoples ranks.

I just check our issue tracker and the issue is still in progress. I suggest that you check the changelog from time to time to check if the issue is already resolved.
