Automatically Open Cart Drop Down Upon Adding Product to Cart

I’ve used the Header Builder in the Pro Theme and am using the Cart Dropdown element.

I’d like there to be some indication that a product has successfully been added to the cart when they click the Add to Cart button. I’d prefer the Cart Dropdown to automatically open upon a product being added to cart, but some other solution like the number of items in cart showing in the cart icon would also work.

Are there any solutions to indicate a product has been successfully added to cart?

I see there was a similar question asked back in 2017, but haven’t seen an update to this feature request even though it’s been 4 years since that post was submitted.

Are there any solutions for addressing this issue with Pro? Any custom JS code that can be added to make this happen?

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we do not have any option that the cart dropdown will open after you click the add to cart button. It will require custom coding to be able to accomplish it. If you are using a custom header, you can simply add a text element next to the cart dropdown and insert {{dc:woocommerce:cart_items}} so that you will have an indicator of how many items is in your cart.
