Automatic spelling checking

Hello,

I use theme x / Ethos.
While writing in the text element I used to have an automatic spelling checking. This function is not there anymore. How can I activate it anew ?

Hey Yassi,

Spell checking has never been a feature offered in X and Cornerstone. It’s possible that you have a spell checker browser extension or a computer program.

I did have the spell checking previously. Maybe it was a wp classic editor feature ? Is it because of the arrival of Gutenberg that this feature is not available anymore ?

Hi Yassi,

By default, there is no spell checking option for WordPress classic editor as well. But there are ways to enable it using various methods as you can read it here (https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-check-grammar-and-spelling-mistakes-in-wordpress/).
