Automatic adjustment of column width according to content

Hi there,

I have a row with three columns and am having difficulty defining the required width of the three columns individually.

The columns should have the following width:

  • Left and righ columns: Automatic adjustment of the column width to the width of the content (e.g. width of the button)

  • Middle column: 100% - Width (left column) - Width (right column)

How can I do that?

Many thanks
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please elaborate on what you are trying to achieve, providing a screenshot or any videos will be a great help to understand?

Thank you.

Hi there! I want to divide the header bar into three columns. I’ve attached a screenshot of how it currently looks.

Column 1: Logo
Column 2: Menu (right justified, 15px from the right border of the column)
Column 3: Button with CTA

Column 1 and column 3 should not take up more space than necessary, with regards to its content. The middle column 2 should get the remaining space.

Hi Dennis,

You can set the Container maximum width to adjust the width as per your need. Please find the screenshot describing the option.

If you still get any issue, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Unfortunately, that doesn’t help me. Since I don’t know the exact width of the column content, entering the exact value for the column width doesn’t help me any further. Is there a way to define via the calc function that the column width = width of the child element (here: button)? That would be awesome.

Otherwise I inserted the access data privately.

Hi Dennis,

Unfortunately, the given credentials are not working. Can you please check and send it once again.

Thanks
