Audio player padding issue after update

Hi, after updating Pro/Cornerstone all of my audio players loose the background color in the area of the padding. They look like this after update…

When they should look like this…

Is this a known issue? When I go to the padding section in the new editor, I can adjust the padding like normal but the assigned background color is not there.

Please help thanks!

Hey @clefler,

We don’t have a reported issue regarding this yet.

Since we need to check the setup of the Audion element for this case, it would be best that you give us WordPress access to your live site that is not updated yet and to the staging copy of your site that is updated so we could see the difference.

Please give us the following info in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL (Live and Staging)
  • Admin username and password (Live and Staging)

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Unfortunately I don’t have a staging domain setup where I can install a different theme version.
So if you add an audio player to your test site with the latest update the control bar padding behaves normally with the background?

Hey @clefler,

Yes, I use the latest version Pro 5.0.8 and the background color is working.

Are you using the Color Manager? It could be that the color has been deleted by an admin of your site. Let us know how you have set up your background.

Thanks.

It is not so much the color as it is the color in the padding. The 2 screen shots I sent show this. When padding is added the color of the controls bar is not there.
I tried colors available and manual colors and the results are the same.

Hi @clefler,

Thank you for reporting this, I can replicate the issue on my end, it looks like the audio’s control padding is generated as margin on the front-end. I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.

Cheers,

Thanks. So is it something that could be fixed in the next update?

Hello @clefler,

We cannot make any promises relating to a fix at this stage. We will just add a note to the tracker referencing your issue so our dev team can investigate and fix the issue.

Please bear with us.

Hi @clefler,

I can confirm this issue has been corrected for the next release.

Hi, just been checking and haven’t seen any updates since my issue.
Is there some simple css you could provide to fix the issue in the meantime?
Thanks

Hello @clefler,

I just checked our issue tracker and it has been fixed now so I would request you, please stay tuned for succeeding theme updates.

Thanks for understanding
