Audio player + download in blog page

Good morning,
I would like to add audio files to some of my blog posts. As I can’t use Cornerstone in blog I don’t really know how to proceed. Will I have to find a plugin such as WP Player? The audio file should be downloadable, too.

Now if a blog post begins with an audio file - what will happen to the excerpt? Or is it advisable to start with a written teaser and only then insert the file? Any idea would be a big help.

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in!
There is post format in the theme to add audio fine in a post.
Just choose your post format as audio.

In the audio post, setting adds your audio URL or embed code.

It will show you the audio player in the featured image area.

Regarding the download part, you have to use custom plugins for this. However, we don’t have an official recommendation for this.

If you are adding the audio via the post you can add the short description before the audio or you can add few sentences in the excerpt section to show the text below to the heading.
