Attaching link to headline is causing column to become unaligned

Hi,

Could you please help with an issue we are having when using a headline as a link? For some reason the vertical line we created that divides the section (1/3 + 2/3) becomes unaligned once I attach a link to the headline element. As soon as I remove the link, everything is aligned again.

The live page is at, www.ergoarchitecture.com/project-research

Thanks for your help

Hi Ergo,

Thanks for writing in.

We’re you able to solve this already? Because I wasn’t able to replicate the issue, I tried in several browsers and the vertical line is aligned. If it’s still unaligned at your end, can you please share to us what browser you are using and could you try using other browsers if you can still see the issue there.

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, we were able to fix the issue with a small workaround but the page with the unaligned verticals still exists with the URL http://ergoarchitecture.com/project-research-2/

The workaround seemed to be that it if I manually entered the link into the HTML field…

…Instead of using the Rich Text, Link icon (circled below in Red)

It suddenly aligned itself again.

One other problem I was having is that using that Link button frequently froze cornerstone when trying to use it to link to anything other than specific webpage (In our case, linking a Mailto: command)

Hi Ergo,

It is also aligned on this URL for me: http://ergoarchitecture.com/project-research-2/

Please try to use button element instead rather that text element with link text. You can always reset default button style to look like what you currently have.

Hope this helps.
