Applying header assignments

Hi Team Themeco,

Congratulations for the awesome new look and for all of the services! I’m looking forward to continually depending on Themeco’s awesome product and services.

Having said that, I would love it if someone can help resolve a problem that I’m facing for the first time. I have 4 headers on my the site I’m working on.

One of the headers is assigned to two pages, but for some reason, the global header ends up being applied. When I remove the global header assignment from the global header and go to the page in question, the default header set up under theme options becomes active, effectively ignoring the header that is supposed to be assigned to those pages.

To see it in effect, please do the following:

  1. Go to login URL
  2. Enter credentials
  3. On the top navigation bar, hit “Search”
  4. At the end of the form, hit “Search”

The header that will be shown will most likely be a header not assigned (unless my system is faulty). The header that is supposed to be assigned should have “Back to search” in place of the logo.

Header that should be assigned: “Match Search”

Thank you for your time!

Hello @kgpthemex,

Thanks for writing in! We cannot check your custom headers and their assignments because the given user credentials are very limited.

Meanwhile, please be advised that the custom headers can be assigned to pages, posts, blog index, or the home page. Once the page is used as a BuddyPress page container, the page will be using the global header.

Best Regards.

@ruenel,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

I see the limitation. I never considered that it would apply even to a manually created page that was using a Buddypress shortcode.

That’s disappointing but at least, there’s nothing wrong!

Thanks for your help @ruenel

You’re very welcome, @kgpthemex!
