Appearance of “Blog” in Post Direction

Hi guys,

After the past X update (we are using Ethos theme) the following has happened: we used to have the following post address - “home icon” then the name of the post. Now we have the following order: “home icon” > Blog> the name of the post. I am not sure where this “Blog” is coming from, when I click on it - it still takes me to the homepage. Can someone please advise how to get rid of this word “Blog”?

P.S. All of our programs (X theme and Cornerstone) are updated to the latest versions.
P.P.S. We are using a static/custom home page (connected through Settings > Reading)

Hi there,

The correct setup for the blog is to add a page and set it as the posts page n the Settings > Reading. I added a Blog page for you and set it in the settings.

Now if you check the breadcrumbs you will see that the blog will point to the blog page and not the homepage.

If you want to hide the Blog in the breadcrumbs you need to add the Javascript code below to X > Launch > Options > JS:

jQuery(".x-breadcrumbs a:contains(Blog)").hide();
jQuery(".x-breadcrumbs a:contains(Blog)").prev().hide();
