Appearance-Customize vs Theme Options-GLOBAL CSS

You suggest here-

…that we should be using ‘Appearance>Theme Options’ and not ‘Appearance>Customize’ moving forward, and that if we go back and forth it could create problems.

However, there is no place for Global CSS/JS in Appearance>Theme Options. Global CSS/JS only appears in ‘Appearance>Customize’.

So where should we be adding Global CSS/JS now?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

The Global CSS and JS within the theme options can be found in the left side panel.

Hope this helps.

Ah, ok thanks.

Where do I find the additional options available in Customize like ‘Menus’ and ‘Widgets’?

And what is ‘Additional CSS’ in ‘Customize’ vs Global CSS?

Hi,

  1. It’s not included in Theme Options.

You can go to wordpress default pages

Appearance > Menus
Appearance > Widgets

  1. Additional CSS was a feature added by wordpress in Version WordPress 4.7

Global CSS is xtheme added feature, I would recommend adding your custom css in Global CSS to avoid any issues in the future.

Thanks
