Another "Element could not render due to invalid markup" error

Is anyone else getting this message after updating to Pro 5? If I save and refresh the page, I can see my work until I do an edit and then the message reappears and I’m kind of losing my mind.

Hello @thomvandycke,

Thanks for writing in! Based on the error message, you may have added a custom HTML in one of the elements on the page. It could be in a raw content, text element, or headline element. You may have forgotten to close an HTML tag that has affected the section, row, or column elements.

If you can give us the URL of the page, we would love to check the elements on the page and will look for any of the broken HTML codes.

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel - thanks for the reply. So this happens on every page that was created with Pro (I use Thrive Themes on a couple of pages) and only in the editor. The actual webpages display correctly. The url is www.thomvandycke.com/marketing.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @thomvandycke,

It might be an issue with Broken HTML which has been explained by my colleague in his post. I would suggest you check by deleting the section one by one till the issue is fixed, and the last one you have deleted before the fix is the actual issue.
If that does not resolve the issue, there might be some different reason behind your issue which will be very difficult to recognize without inevstigating it through the admin dashboard. I would suggest you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi @tristup - my challenge is that it is EVERY page. So I have no idea what section to even start with.

Furthermore, if I start a new page the moment I add any feature I get the same error. So there must be something global going on.

Hi @thomvandycke,

It will be very difficult to recognize the problem without investigating through Admin Dashboard. Can you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hello @thomvandycke,

I have logged in to your site and investigated your issue. I edited a couple of pages and I could not replicate the issue. I am not seeing the error message “This element could not render due…”.

See the secure note for the pages that load in the builder.

Please provide us the page where you exactly see the issue because at the moment, we cannot replicate it.

Thank you.

It was happening on every page. But I can’t duplicate the error now either. I’m wondering if a plugin update solved the issue. Thank you for your help nonetheless, I will be in touch if the problem re-emerges.

Hello @thomvandycke,

If you have updated the X theme to the 9.0.8 version and left the Cornerstone outdated, that could be the cause of your issue. Did you just update Cornerstone to the 6.0.8 version? And yes, the update should resolve those issues.

Best Regards.
