Anchor links within same page not working anymore. Was working before updates?

We had shortcut anchor links to the different sections of our About Us page. It was set up and working fine in the past. Recently we updated X / Cornerstone / Wordpress etc after not updating for a long time. These anchor links no longer do anything.

We have entered the anchor names in the ID field of the corresponding section (for example “returns” or “shipping”). I had also tried entering the anchor name into the ID field of an element such as a headline element (that’s worked in the past.) The names are unique, each entered only into one ID field.

Then for the links to those sections we used for example:

Thank you for writing in, first please CLEAR all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

If the issue persists, please do a Testing for Plugin Conflict, it’s possible that one (or multiple) of your plugin has a conflicting issue.

If nothing works, please provide us login credentials in a “Secure Note” so we can take a closer look.
