Anchor Link Issue

Hello there, I’m using the plugin WP Download Manager, which I have installed on several other websites, and it’s working fine, but for some reason now with Pro, it’s scrolling the page.

Go to this page http://docs.miamidadeatmsproject.com/deployment (code 12345), and click on Main Tasks to expand that category. Then click on the arrow to collapse it, you will see that the page is scrolling down a little.

Check this instance with a different template, so you can see the normal behavior: http://d2.graph-code.com/document-portal/

Thanks in advance

Hi @mcostales84,

Thanks for reaching out.
The anchor work like the # link and scroll down to the section which is having the ID value collapse-3 while clicking into it.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

I know that’s how it works, but I want to disable the scrolling feature on that page, on that element it shouldn’t work like that

Hi @mcostales84,

To disable the scrolling on this, you need to remove the ID from the list shown in the screenshot or need to remove the # link from the button. The content is coming from the 3rd Party plugin which is beyond the scope of our theme support and, I would suggest you contact the Author on this.

Thanks

I know that by removing the anchor link I will be fixing the issue, but then the plugin won’t work as it should.
That plugin works perfectly on other websites with a different theme, so it’s a Pro issue, not plugin related.
It has to be a way to fix that

this person had a similar issue

I found this thread, which I tried but it didn’t work

I think what I need to do is disable the smooth scrolling. Can you help me with that?

Hello @mcostales84,

Please check this old thread and check out the reply of @christian

By the way, there is also a known issue with the one-page navigation. This could also be a conflict which is why the collapse link does not work. Our developers are already investigating this issue.

Best Regards.

Any update on this? I read on all threads that you’re investigating this issue from a long time. Any solution?
I also contacted the plugin developer, and tried to blame it on him, but of course, the issue is with Pro, that’s something I’m sure you can fix. This is the best theme on the market, with the best support staff, so please, take care of this!
Thanks!

Hi @mcostales84,

Unfortunately, there is still no news on that.

Thanks
