Amazon Pay plugin button image not working

Hi,

Our site is storeitcold.com.

The button for Amazon Pay on our cart in the image below (to the right of the Paypal button) is broken. I have read that this is because of incompatibility issues with the theme.

Could you please help us resolve this asap?

Thanks!

Yes, let me add that

Also, another interesting fact I noticed that might help you:
The button shows up on Firefox and Safari, and even on Chrome in incognito mode. However, it does not show up on Chrome on desktop. Curious to hear why you think that might be

Hi @Web_Services,

Since your website is live and running e-commerce, I suggest the following things:

1.) Create a staging area, where we could deactivate all the plugins and themes for testing purposes to find the culprit.
2.)Check if the issues still persist, If no, we will activate the plugin one by one to find the culprit.
3.) Once we are able to determine the culprit, we will apply the changes to the live site.

I also found out that the image URL is changing to another src URL. See the screenshots below.

On my Chrome Desktop, the amazon image is working fine.

On my firefox and Microsoft Edge, the images URL changes to a new URL.

IE:

Firefox:

The correct image path to show the image is https://d2ldlvi1yef00y.cloudfront.net/us/live/apa/orange/medium/button_T6.png but somehow on the IE and Firefox or other browsers it was changed to https://d2ldlvi1yef00y.cloudfront.net/us/live/apa/orange/medium/button_T15.png

Let us know if you have already a staging area so that we can help you with your problem.

Thank you.

Hi Cramaton,

Thanks a lot for your response. This is so odd - it does the reverse for me, with the button showing on Firefox and Safari, but not Chrome. We do have a staging site that you could use to experiment and help out.

The site is staging1.storeitcold.com. And you can use the same login details that have been provided in the secure note above. Please let me know if you any insights on how to resolve this.

Hi @Web_Services,

I have checked the issue and it seems it’s not related to the theme because even if you switch to default Twenty Twenty the issue is still present, the issue seems to have something to do with your Amazon Pay Gateway’s CND.

403 error means, either the file does not exist or its not accessible.

It could also possibly issue with your caching features as the changes I made on Button’s Display options does not reflect, it will always try to load that /orange/medium/button_T15.png button. Please Enable back all your caching features and Purge All its cache.

Thanks,

Hi,

I enabled the caching plugins and cleared all caches manually too but this issue is not resolved. How can we resolve this?

Hi @Web_Services,

As what my colleagues said, the issue is coming from your Amazon Pay Gateway’s CDN, and it’s not related to our theme, I’m sorry but we cannot provide help for 3rd party plugins issue. Please consult with a developer to continue using the 3rd party plugins.

Or, you can avail of our One service where we answer 3rd party tech questions. You can check out One here: https://theme.co/one

Thank you for understanding.
