Alternat Index Titles for Blog Post Pages

I’m trying to get my blog post pages organized, as a client has asked I create three category index pages late into the project.

The alternate index page title is working fine for category pages: Each category page has it’s own custom page title.

For Blog Post Pages themselves, the alternate page titles are not showing up, but instead defaulting to the “News & Events” title that is set in the Customize>Renew>Blog Title settings.

I would like the individual post index titles to match their respective categories, but I don’t mind manually entering them for each post in the alternate index page title setting.

How do I go about applying alternate index titles for the individual blog post pages?

Hey there,

That is the correct behavior because what if you assign 2 categories for a post? If it will display the category title, it will show 2 categories.

Implementing what you need would require custom development which is outside the scope of our support. We do have an in-house custom development team that offer paid services, who may be able to assist. They can be contacted at [email protected] if this is of interest to you.

Hi,

Sorry but what you are trying to achieve will require modifying some of the theme files and that it falls out of scope.

However you can try creating file _landmark-header.php in wp-content\themes\x-child\framework\legacy\cranium\headers\views\renew and copy the code below into that file.

You may then manually enter text in alternate index page title and it will be displayed in your blog title.

You need to remove this css code to make it show.
