When I look at my site I all of my text is centered and I have a margin at the top that didn’t exist a few days ago. When I sign in to word press I don’t see the issue. The top image is when I am logged into word press and looks correct. The bottom image is when I am not logged in to wordpress and many things are wrong
Hi there,
Do you have a plugin that sets the CSS code on the site?
I tried checking and there seems to be something that sets the site content to be aligned center.
Not that I know of. This just started. I have not touched this site in a few weeks. This is what it looks like when logged in
Also the font family is different. When logged in it is Oxygen, when logged out it can’t find that font
Also, I get the visual composer to come up
Hi,
Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:
Set it as Secure Note
- Link to your site
- WordPress Admin username / password
All the best!
I sent a secure not to you with the info.
Hello There,
Thanks for providing the information. I have checked your site and the texts were centered because of PowerPress plugin. Somehow it generates a css that affects the entire page content. Please disable the plugin and you will see a big change. You might need to contact the creator of that plugin and ask them how to disable the centering of the PowerPress contents. They can surely guide you since they are the one’s you maintain this plugin.
Thank you for your understanding.
Thanks, but I have had that plugin for years. The whole site is about my podcasts. This just changed the other day after years.
I deactivated the plugin but I still see the problem.
Hi There,
Thank you for the credentials, I did check every area that could possibly be the cause of this issue but could not find anything. But there are still couple things that could possibly cause this issue that we can not test on a live site, with that said you need to do this test yourself.
First, It is very possible that this is a wrong doing of one of your plugins, please do a test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. Before doing this test please clear and deactivate your caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache).
Second, this could be an incompatibility issue, your WordPress is already in the latest version (4.9.4), but your X Theme version (1.7.3) is a legacy. More likely than not, you’ll face other issues other than a text center alignment because of this incompatibility.
The latest version of X Theme is now in 6.0.0, since this is a live site and we don’t want this to be down on extended time, I advise that you duplicate the site on a development server (sub-domain) and do the updating there first. A lot of things change from X version 1.7 to version 6.0.0, obviously this will be a lot of work to do, rest assured that we will help you get through in this updating process if you opt to do this updating.
Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
Ok. But could you tell me where the custom options are stored currently on my site? I installed the new child theme and did not have the 404 error, but it isn’t formatted as before. I want to try it again but I need to know where the values are stored.
never mind I got it fixed
Glad it’s okay now, cheers!
