All menus overwriting pages on theme x after update

I tried to go to the last backup but that’s caused a bigger problem too - site is fayeblake.nl

I updated cornerstone at the same time is thee a way to get the last versions back or fix this? Thanks

I have managed to go back to an early version on X which has fixed the problem so it is version 8 that causes this

Hi @fayeco,

If looks like you’re currently running versions of X 7 and Cornerstone 5. Could you please try updating both to the latest versions?

• X 8.0.5
• Cornerstone 5.0.5

No that’s what I did - I managed to go back to x7 as otherwise my menus overwrite the pages! It looks like some of the info was missing on this topic - when I updated to 8 The whole structure of the site changes in that the menus on the left have the wrong fonts and overwrite the page text. It is definitely cause by X8 as when I went back to 7 it was fixed

At the moment, You are using X theme 7.2.3 with Cornerstone 5.0.3 which is incompatible. Please be advised that Cornerstone 5.x.x versions will only be compatible with X theme 8.0. Please make sure that you have updated both the X theme and the Cornerstone plugin first to the latest version for full support. To prevent from disrupting your live site when there are theme or plugin updates, we would highly recommend that you create a staging site. The staging site is very useful because you can test drive any X and plugin updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Thanks for the advice - I have solved the problem at the moment but when I had the latest version of X and cornerstone it caused the problem so not keen to go there again:)

Thanks for testing. If you want us to investigate the issue with the latest version of X and Cornerstone, please copy your site to a staging server so we could test without the risk of accidentally changing something in your site or breaking it.

Once the staging is up, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

• WordPress Login URL
• Admin level username and password
