All formatting stripped away when switching themes

Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I am switching themes on one of the sites use X/Cornerstone on, and my posts have header tags, strong/bold tags, links, etc. But when I switch themes all that is gone. The links, header tags, things that were bold now are not.

When I look at the HTML all the markup has been stripped away, but when I revert back to X theme, it’s all still there.

I’ve tried this with the basic 2023 theme, 2022, and a random other one, and it happens to all of them.

Any ideas how to keep the markup?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I am not sure about the markup. The X theme does not have its own markup if you have inserted the contents using the WordPress editor. You may be referring to the styling where it is stored with the X Theme Options which is why when the theme is not active, the styling is not displaying. Please provide the URL of your site so we can check it.

Best Regards.

Hi!
Here is the dev url, this post has links, header tags, and things that are bold, but when switching themes, all that is lost.

Appreciate any insight you can provide!

Hello @webopsdpi,

I checked your given site URL it seems that you were using a different builder and theme. Please note that each theme and builder has its own layout and styling. I would suggest you please go to the Cornerstone —>Theme options----> Typography —>set the fonts and font size for the content and headings.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hi,
It’s not that the size isn’t correlating. It’s that links and bold tags are removed. things that were wrapped in H2 tags or link tags or STRONG are stripped away.

Hello @webopsdpi,

If the page is built with Cornerstone Builder, as soon as you deactivate the theme and the Cornerstone plugin, the contents of the page or post will not display properly.

Best Regards.
