Aligning menu & menu highlighting lines with bottom of navbar

Hi,

hijacking a previous poster’s neat little description. I currently have a rather big logo and the menu looks like this:

+===========+
+===========+ home, menuitem1,menuitem2,menuitem3,menuitem3
+===LOGO====+ ________
+===========+
+===========+

However, I want the menu and the menu’s hover lines to align with the bottom of the navbar & sticky navbar so it kinda looks like this:

+===========+
+===========+
+===LOGO====+
+===========+ home, menuitem1,menuitem2,menuitem3,menuitem3
+===========+ ________

Is there an easy way to do this?

Particularly, as the logo is too big, the menu is too far up and when you scroll down, the sticky head produces this awful gap which I don’t like.

I’d even be happy with a solution like this, as long as the hover-line is where the stick-navbar ends without a horrible white gap inbetween:

+===========+
+===========+
+===LOGO====+
+===========+
+===========+ home, menuitem1,menuitem2,menuitem3,menuitem3 (and of course the hover line below, which this forum does not show as it’s turning it into a divider :smiley:)

I’ve been trying to adjust the height of the menu in the X settings, but then the hover-line is more a strikethrough and I tried all sorts of CSS hacking and I think I made it worse. :smiley:

Some help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Philippe

Or… what I just noticed. I made another website where the hover line is in the TOP of the header. But unfortunately that’s another stack (I am currently using Ethos stack, the website with the lines on top has the Integrity stack).

If I could use the header of the integrity stack with the ethos stack; i could live with that too. :wink:

Whatever is easier. :smiley:

Hi Philippe,

You can adjust the alignment using the following settings.

Theme Option > Header > LINKS – ALIGNMENT > NAVBAR TOP LINK ALIGNMENT (PX) - try setting this to 70

Theme Options > Header > NAVBAR > NAVBAR TOP HEIGHT (PX) - try setting this to 40

Hope that helps.

Erm… not quite… that is the same result that I got before I wrote my request!

:rofl:

Right, I have been playing around with the two figures that you mentioned and the logo size and I now found the right heights which makes it look the way it should… sort of… kinda… I will have to play around with it a bit more. Thanks for your help. I suppose I need to play around more and figure out how to do this the best way. You nudged me into the right direction! Cheers!

You’re welcome!
