After update x no saving possible

I have updated my site to the newest version.
I understand, that I had to change some content with the new version of the builder but I can’t update the changes when working in the backend, even if I create a new page the message “UH OH - failed to update” appears.

I have done everything mentioned on your reply to an old topic: Cornerstone “Uh oh. Content failed to save!” on homepage after X-theme update

What can I do… The page is now offline due to some funny behavior on the page after update.
I would very much appreciate, if you could answer asap.

Thanks in advance

Best regards
Marcuz

Hi Marcuz,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found the issue you described, it has been also found that you have updated the Cornerstone to its latest version but it still showing the older version 1.0.1 in the browser.

It might be due to the improper update of the Cornerstone plugin. I would also suggest you follow the below steps while updating to the latest version of the Cornerstone.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone existing one
  2. After deletion please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

Please clear all type cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

If that does not resolve your issue, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshoot the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If none of the above helps, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.

Well @tristup it was a conflict with one of the plugins, that always change the version no of cornerstone as soon as it was activated.
Thanks for pointing out the part of the quellcode cornerstone-v1_0_1… that helps me very much in finding the right plugin issue.
Now, I am able to repair the broken parts of the page.

thx
