After update to 5.12 / 5.14 my global blocks are massive in Cornerstone, Checkout disabled

When I update my Pro theme my Global blocks are now massive and unformatted within my visual editor (cornerstone) and it blew up my checkout page. It disables my CC/Paypal and makes this massive spinning icon appear. When I roll back both of these issues go away.

I have tried every new release since the sliders were promoted and need to get to the latest version.

Original site: https://www.michaelbakerdigital.com/ working fine with Pro theme 4.3.3

I have this visible at a stage site: http://mbakerstage.wpengine.com which also won’t let me validate no matter how many times I enter license, but to see the Global blocks thing you’d need to look inside. Screen are attached of previous version and current version:

Hello @bakermedia,

Thanks for writing in! Please do not forget that you have Endurance Page Cache. After updating the WP core, theme or plugins, you must clear your plugin caches before testing the site. Please check out this documentation first:

Best Regards.

Hello I got with hosting support and did every possible cache clearing and disabling that could be done and the results are the same. Both internal and external issues :frowning:

Also want to add in when I replace the blocks that exist on a page they look normal, when I edit them they look normal but when I go back in after I hit save it’s the same massive unformatted blocks

When reviewing this doc: https://theme.co/docs/site-appears-broken-after-updates#element-style-cache-problem

It says a clear cache option is available under Pro > Status

But Pro does not have a visible “status” option? Actually has no options under it, cornerstone does not have status

That is why we provided a manual way to clear the style cache. You can go to X > Status in X Pro > Status in Pro or Cornerstone > Status in the standalone Cornerstone plugin and at the right-hand side you can click the Clear Style Cache button to clear the style cache manually.

Hi @bakermedia,

We’re sorry for the confusion, the docs is not updated. To Clear Style Cache, you need to go to Cornerstone > Settings and look for system tab then you can now hit the Clear Style Cache button.

Hope that helps.

Hi thank you but this did not solve the giant unformatted global blocks issue :frowning:

Hello @bakermedia,

I have checked your staging site again and I could not replicate the issues. The blocks were formatted and displayed as expected.

Please see the screenshots in the secure note.

We highly recommend that you use a different browser or use private browsing mode when testing your site again. Thanks.

Visually on the front end it’s fine, its when I’m in the editor. All of the screens I shared are from Cornerstone

Hi @bakermedia,

It will be very difficult to recognize the problem without investigating through the WordPress admin dashboard. I would request you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
