After PRO Upgrade When Effects are ON, elements in editor are hidden, and problems selecting elements with any link

Site: https://dev.myhealingcommunity.com/
Pro: Version: 6.0.7
Wordpress:6.1.1
Wordpress Up to date
Theme up to date
All plugins up to date
NOTE: Also tried deactivating all plugins and same problems (below) existed
I could not find any cornerstone settings related to this?
I also tried clearing system cache in Cornerstone settings.
I tried in different Browsers (Chrome/Firefox, both up to date, in private windows etc)

All my other X/Pro sites (many) are not having this issue (using same system, browsers, same Desktop etc and even the same hosting company) … and are on same Wordpress / Pro / Plugins and updated versions.

Before the Theme updates everything was fine in the editor, and its preview (with regard to a) using effects and b) selecting elements with link… such as buttons, text with links, terms, menu items etc.).

  1. Effects are not triggering in editor.
ie. Went back in to edit the site after recent theme upgrades and lots of elements that had effects (eg, Scroll / In 10%, Out 10%) and were previously displaying suddenly are not (and should be - eg. even when in the viewport and with respect to the effect in/out %s).

Turning the Scroll Effect off immediately returns the element to the editor live preview.

  1. When editing (Pro/Cornerstone) and trying to select anything like a button (with a link) in the editor results in preview moving to the link target (ie. off the page I am editing!)
highly annoying. Am having to select anything with a link in the outline window.

Private note for login.

You will need to login and use the editor to see the issues.

  • Effects ON messes up editor preview
  • In editor, selecting anything with a link sends the editor preview to the link target.

Please help.
Thanks in advance
Simon

Hello Simon,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we cannot check your site because the given password is not working for us. Please double check it. In the meantime, please go to Cornerstone > Settings > Permission > Elements and make sure that “All Classic Elements” is enabled. Using the Classic elements could sometimes cause issues like this.

Best Regards.

See Secure note. password updated and tested.
Sorry!

found all classic elements (within the configure link),
turned them all on.
Still no change / still the issues exist
(and I am not using any classic elements)

am also seeing the editor is extremely slow to load

Turned on WP_DEBUG for you as well.
Tried dropping PHP down to 7.4, didn’t help.
Cleared the server cache - also did not help.

Hello Simon,

In your menu links, you inserted an incorrect character:

The correct links especially with anchors should only be:

https://example.com/
https://example.com/link-to-the-page
https://example.com/link-to-the-page#anchor-or-element-id
https://example.com/link-to-the-page/#anchor-or-element-id

You cannot also use a space character in the element ID:

The correct ID should only be “Marias-Practitioner-Grade-some-more-text”

Those invalid characters you have added in the links and the element ID have created a conflict and incompatibility issues with the JS script that displays the effects animation.

Best Regards.

Wow. nice find!
Thanks heaps!!

You are most welcome.

Can you please delete all the images in the initial post… they are coming up in Google and the site is not live.

Hi Simon,

Removed the screenshot from the initial post and added it to the secure note to avoid Google crawling.

Thanks
