After latest upgrade, some site pages not rendering in Chrome or Safari

After the latest update, a number of our pages don’t seem to be including our header in Chrome or Safari. Everything is fine in Firefox. This is true for a handful of normal pages with simple content (but not all) as well as all event posts created with M.E. Calendar Pro.

Help

Hello Efrain,

Thanks for writing in! After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using Autoptimize, WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

It could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

If after trying all of the above things you are still experiencing problems, please reply below, including login details to your site in a secure note, so that we can investigate further. You can create a secure note in your next reply with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
- Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: How The Forum Works

Best Regards.

Thank you for the quick response. It turned out to be a conflict with Autoptimize. I’ve deactivated the plugin and will try again when they come out with an upgrade. In the meantime, we’re scouring through the site to make sure our layouts are cleaned up and JS is optimized. Ugh.

Hi @ebarragan,

Glad you sorted things out, remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Cheers,
