Advice on Non-existent changeset UUID

Hi There,

So I am having a problem using the “customize theme” option in X with my clients site. I need to update the logo and every time I click on the customize option I get “Non-existent changeset UUID” on the right side. Also whenever I click the “X” in the dashboard it goes to the login page and not an actual page I can edit the theme options. So I’m kind of up a creek without a paddle at this point, in that I have no options to swap out the logo because those options don’t load.

I’ve read a few forum chats that suggest it’s because my clients WordPress Address (URL) that hosts all of his files, is different than his Site Address (URL). I’m not sure how to get around this when my client has multiple sites on the server. Any help or advice would be absolutely wonderful!!

I’ll add the login credentials here in another post so you can take a look in the back end.

Thanks much in advance!
Tara

Hi Tara,

You forgot to include your wordpress username so I can’t checked.

Please login to http://www.mcelroyfilms.com/mcelroyweddings2015/wp-admin and make sure site url and wordpress url are set to
http://www.mcelroyfilms.com/mcelroyweddings2015/

It will not affect other sites as this is on a separate subfolder with separate wordpress installation.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

I just added the admin username if you want to take a look.

The client wants to keep the url as mcelroyweddings.com and not http://www.mcelroyfilms.com/mcelroyweddings2015/
If I log in and change that under settings, it won’t fudge everything up since all the files are located in that /mceloryweddings2015 folder?

Thanks much for looking into this!
Tara

Hi Tara,

This isn’t directly related to the theme used, are you sure you have followed this guide precisely?
https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

Specially, that one with “Method II (With URL change)”.

Thanks.
