I have an existing site that was built with ACF but heavily customised (old site!). I want to use X for my site - so imported the site into localhost and activated X, hoping it would work seamlessly!
However, it is not picking up the custom fields in my pages at all and I don’t understand why not? The field groups and layout blocks etc all imported, but just not displaying on my site. Is it possible to make it work without having to rebuild the whole site?

ACF should have been added in the page and post contents so that it will work out of the box with any theme. Did you have modified or heavily embedded the ACF fields in the theme?
