Hi, I am new to X Theme and building websites. When I initially activated X-child I had "addons’ but it has disappeared since, and I cannot find it, and yes I have latest version installed. I am also not able to validate the cornerstone with the the purchase code.

Based on your description, it looks like you are currently used a very outdated version of X in Cornerstone where the validation process is not supported.
In that case, you will have to manually update your X and Cornerstone version then do the validation so that you can access the bundled plugins.
