Additional CSS Module Running Slow (Recently Changed Domain & Static Home / Blog Page Setting)

Hi,

When I go into Additional CSS http://take.ms/D6Vug and try to edit the css, the screen freezes for 10 minutes.

We recently made two big changes that could be related:

Changed our Site and Blog URL to a new url: http://take.ms/FyVfe
Changed our Reading Setting to make our home and blog pages static. http://take.ms/2vHHj

Thoughts?

Hi,

Please note that Additional CSS is not part of the theme.It is part of wordpress core that was added in version 4.7.

You could try the following.

Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Increase memory limit

Latest is Wordpress 4.9.8

Check php version with your hosting provider and make sure it is at least version 5.6
