Adding Recent Posts with Excerpt into Pro Footer

Hi guys,

I’m really struggling to add a recent post shortcode into the footer area (using pro) and including an excerpt. I’ve tried messing about with the Child Functions but no luck.

I’d like to have the post title and excerpt, without a background, nothing else needed…

I’ve added a link to a test page below - ignore the header area.

Can you help?

Many thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

You could use a content area element and the [x_recent_posts] shortcode. It doesn’t support an excerpt however.

Another idea would be using a shortcode from the Display Posts plugin. You may just need to add some styling yourself to make the output look nice in your footer.
