Adding modals to classic grid

Hello there,

I would like to have a grid of clickable icons that launch a modal window. Please see the attached images.

Classic grid does’t allow me to add a modal button to each grid block, and only allows me to add it beneath the grid block.

The page is split into two columns with text in the left column (modal.png). How can I use modals in a grid layout in the right hand column?

Hi Spencer,

It’s not possible to combine the block grid items with the content area modal.

You can try with the lightbox instead:

Thanks for getting back to me.

Is there the functionality within X to switch the content of a panel that would work in the way shown in the attached image? So if I click the box What Can I Do? the content for this loads into the large green box beneath.

Thanks for updating the thread.

Out of the box in X Theme there’s no option for that wherein you click on a image to display a content section having text. Having said that you can take a look at following article to get started.
