Adding Components to pages across the site

I’ve created several components and want to them to my woocommerce product page. I’ve added the component code ([cs_component id=“88wIkCLL3lkCk3SwbQ”]) to the short description on the product page and it’s not appearing

Hello Simon,

Thank you for the inquiry.

We may need to access the dashboard and check the product containing the component shortcode to better understand the issue. Please provide the login details in the secure note.

Best regards,

Thank you for the update.

What is the actual name of the component, and what content should it display? We created a test component, exported it, and placed the shortcode on a test page, and it seems to be working as expected. Please check the link in the secure note and review the documentation below.

Best regards,
Ismael

Thanks for the reply.

I’ve added your component shortcode to the product page and it’s worked. Maybe there’s something wrong with my shortcode? I tried adding the brand logos component, just to prove the concept mainly. The component I want to add is the product accordion that I have created

Thank you for the update.

We edited the Product Accordion component, exported the Accordion element, then used this shortcode in the product text editor.

Accordion component:
[cs_component id="ShC7fj5zlpq1s35tRr"]

You can also insert this component from the Elements library—simply search for the Product Accordion element.

Warm regards.

how have you created that shortcode? how have you exported it? I’m not sure I’ve done it the right way. How do I access the elements library?

To export an element and create a shortcode, simply right click the Accordion (Product Accordion) element in the Product Accordion component, click Manage, apply a label, then toggle the Component > Export Component.

Once the Export Component has been toggled, the shortcode should display below.

You can add the exported Product Accordion component using the shortcode or insert it from the Elements library.

Let us know if you need more info.

that’s great thanks.

I have another issue with the same page. It’s showing as full width, but I want it boxed. The site is set in full width in site settings as on pages I want full width content. I’d actually still want full width content on the product and archive pages, I just want woo-commerce part of the page to be boxed

No problem. If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

Thanks!

ok, created another thread

Thank you for understanding. Have a nice day.

I don’t really understand why, but the content on the product page now has the footer colour overlayed over it and most of the product content isn;t showing

Aside from adding the component shortcode, we didn’t edit anything in the product. Please continue here: Width of Content on Product Page
