How can I add an “X” in the upper right hand corner for closing a modal window. I realize it is not needed but not sure everyone will.

There’s no option to add “X” in the upper right-hand corner for closing a modal window and If you want to add this option then it will require customization. Regretfully, customization is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.
