Adding anchor link via button in header

Evening chaps - bet you’re a bit busy at the moment? Great update!!

In Pro I’d like to have an anchor link from a button in the header area to the first section on that page. I’ve attached a link to the page in question.

I’ve tried the standard options but they either do nothing, or shoot me past the opening section.

Can you help? You know you want to!!! A bit of smooth scroll too would be stunning!

Best wishes,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Please take a look at this article: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/features-how-to-setup-one-page-navigation/96

Hope it helps

Hi Thai,

I’m looking to provide an anchor link from a button, not a menu.

Does that make a difference?

Is there an ID section now in the new design area?

Steve

Hi there,

The button can be linked to the section using the ‘#’ prefix, such as #theid. You can name the section ID by going to the section options in question:

Important points:

  • Update the theme to version 1.2.3

  • If you use a sticky bar in the header builder the link will go below the bar. Due to the complexity of the header builder, the animation slider for links does not calculate the sticky bar height ye.

The feature is under development.

Thank you.
