Adding a topbar makes the header glitch on scroll up

Hi There,

This is the second site with the same problem.

When adding a topbar (second container) on top of the main nav the header glitches on scrollup when entering the top of the page. It happens when you make the containers sticky and using the scrollup feature.

See url in secure note.

Thx in advanced.

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have created another header and added two more bars for two existing bars and made those sticky and hide initially. The glitch issue is not appearing here. I would suggest you check once and replicate the same for other sites.

Thanks

That’s not what I want. I don’t want extra bars.
And it is still glitching when scrolling up fast.

I need a solid fix.

It needs to scroll smooth just like other websites.

It is only working smoothly with just one bar. Adding the second one is causing the issue. Also, your solution does not work. Still glitching.

Hey Marco,

Please send us a video screencast so we can check the glitch. By the way, this is what I am seeing on my browsing.

  • See the video link in the secure note below.

Thanks.

Please read my post and question. Wildenberg sticky header is disabled beacause of the glitch.

I’ve also had problems with the sticky bar when there is more than one bar for a long time now. Totally appreciate that decisions were made to have the sticky bars work the way they do but competing website builders don’t have this problem. There is a similarly frustrating jitter when you use a dropdown menu, including the search dropdown, in a sticky menu. A CSS workaround was shared for the dropdown menu, which works (not for the search dropdown), but I am always surprised about how little attention this issue seems to get.

Hey Marcus,

You can try to use the Pro 6.5 beta 3 on the STAGING site and see if this issue still exists. There were changes made in this upcoming version. You should be able to download the beta version from your Themeco account.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hi, Thx for the reply.

I will try the beta version and see if it is fixed.

Hi, thx for joining the conversation :grinning:

Installed the Beta version but still glitching at the top of the page on scroll-up. :slightly_frowning_face:

@Marco While running the beta, uncheck “Slide Enabled” and let us know if that helps.

@j0hnwat3rman for the jittering menu, the beta has a feature called “Inline” on the dropdown. Toggle that on and the jittering will go away.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi,

Thx for your reply.

With ‘Slide Enabled’ option disabled it is not glitching anymore but… there’s no transition anymore. It is not looking very smoothly…

I gotcha. Apologies I thought you were talking about that one header you posted about a month or two ago.

I would consolidate your header into one Bar. You can set the flexbox to Column to display the containers vertically. Then design accordingly. It’ll work better in general if you don’t use multiple sticky headers in general , especially if you want them to act as one bar. Let us know if this helps and have a great weekend.
