Adding a gap between x promo

hi i created 2 elements sitting on a single row but when in mobile view they stick together such as in the attached screenshoot, i tried to add the " mbs " class but it didnt work on them it worked on other things just not this place in my home page

To add a gap, you can add this in Theme Options > CSS

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.x-column.x-sm  {
       margin-bottom: 40px;
}
.x-column.x-sm:last-child  {
       margin-bottom: 0px;
}

}
