Adding a Class to an element

I have searched through the documentation and cannot find an answer to this (simple) question. For some reason, if I enter a class name to an element, I do not seem to be able to edit it with CSS. Is there a specific way I need to enter the class? Do i use a “.” in front of the class name? I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to be working. Fyi, I am using the Pro version.

Thanks for asking.

You need to add the class under Customize > Setup > CSS. There is no need to use . before class name. I have created a screencast on adding class name and how you can make changes using CSS.
