Add to Basket Trigger

Hello,

Is it possible for the ‘Add to Basket’ button on a product page to trigger an event, for instance hovering over an existing shortcode?

On my site I have a dropdown cart plugin, I’d love it if the ‘Add to Cart’ button triggered the effect of hovering/clicking on this plugin.
