Add title animation to Icon Portfolio

Hi, I’m building a staging site using Pro / Icon stack. I’m wanting the Portfolio section to have an animated title section like this example https://www.rcp.co.nz/projects/

I’ve installed a file named content-portfolio.php in the child theme that shows the portfolio title and date as in my staging site (https://staging2.rdw.co.nz/case-studies/) as per the instructions from this forum post… How to show portfolio item title on portfolio page? - X Theme Icon stack

So far so good.

What I would like to be able to do now (in order of importance) is to…

  1. just show the portfolio title and not the date.
  2. show a custom field.
  3. have the title and custom field over the image
  4. have a rollover effect of a solid colour (like the Team Profile images https://staging2.rdw.co.nz/about-us/)
  5. Animate the text rollover (as in this example https://www.rcp.co.nz/projects/)

What you have been doing is great. It will just take time with all the customizations and all to accomplish what you have in mind though. Please be advised that any modifications and custom coding are already beyond the scope of our support.

There is a quick and easy solution for you. Instead of using the Layout - Portfolio page template, you can install TheGrid or Essential Grid plugin. These plugins will enable to display the portfolio items in a grid display. You can utilize the pre-existing grid skins that is already similar to the example URL. With a little editing of the grid skin, you may be able to fully achieve the same result.
