Add sidebar to custom posts page and posts

Hi,

I have pointed my posts page to a page i created called News. I am using the ethos stack and wanted to have a sidebar like on your demo: http://demo.theme.co/ethos-1/ so that i can add widgets. My posts also do not show a sidebar but i want to show a sidebar on these too.

Any ideas?

Hello There,

Thank you for the very detailed post information. To have a sidebar, please go to X > Theme Options > Layout and Design > Content Layout. You must set it to “Content Left, Sidebar” so that in your entire site, that would be the default layout. In some cases, there is a sidebar in single blog post and the blog index is fullwidth. That is because in X > Theme Options > Blog > Layout is not set to use the “Use Global Content Layout” option. So if you want to have a sidebar in your blog index, please do not set it to fullwidth.

Thanks @RueNel, worked like a charm i can still keep my other pages full width by specifying the layout on each page itself. Makes sense now.
