Add reCAPTCHA Manually

Hi.

I managed to create and style an email newsletter form using HTML and CSS and it is up and running in my website. I achieved this by using the Content Area element and then added the HTML code and style.

I want to avoid spam subscription so I am trying to add reCAPTCHA to my form. I want to do this manually without using any plugin.

I got some tutorials online but I can’t seem to see the light.

I managed to add the Google reCAPTCHA snippet to the head and the other code just above the submit button but I don’t seem to understand the way forward.

I have tried and I feel exhausted. Please come to my aid.

Thanks.

Hello Barry,

Thanks for writing in!

Just to manage your expectations, this isn’t specifically a theme issue, but rather, your customisation of it. Whilst Google Captcha have happily provided you with some guidance on how to get it working, we cannot provide theme customisation as a general rule, or support custom code solutions provided. Therefore, you might find it helpful to check out the following:

Thank you for your understanding.

Hmmm…

Well, I didn’t say I need help with CSS selectors. I am talking about setting up recaptcha…

Since I can’t get help with the custom stuff, how do I add the form action to cf7?

What I want to create is an email subscription list. I have the link to the subscription list already which I normally used with form action. How do I go about this using cf 7?

Thanks.

Hello Barry,

If you are going to use Contact Form 7, these links might be able to help you to have a captcha and an email subscription list form.

Hope this helps.
