Add Privacy Policy PDF to Website

Hi
I would like to know how I can set up the website so that I can upload a new privacy policy and credit guide PDF when it changes rather than pasting it into a page. At the moment, I have a Footer Menu which points to a page which contains my old privacy guide. I want to add the updated guide as a PDF rather than pasting the information into the page.

I have tried uploading the pdf in Media but I can’t work out how to add the URL. The section is classified as a page rather than custom link so how do I change that?

Thanks for reaching out.
What you are expecting is required customization and beyond the scope of theme support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.
Alternatively, you can go through the following article and the plugin which may help you on this.

Thanks for your reply but I do not believe this is a customisation. I have tested the pdf link I created on a random footer menu name (Services) and it works perfectly.

What I need to know is how do I change the “Credit & Privacy Guide” footer menu from being a classified as “Page” to being a “Custom Link”? If it is listed as a “Custom Link”, I am able to add the PDF link in the URL section

Hi @fitloans,

Sorry for the confusion. It is not required customization to add the link of the PDF file into the footer. I was referring to if you want to embed the PDF into your page as content.

Hi @fitloans,

You need to create another Menu Item using the Custom Links with the Link Text value Credit & Privacy Guide and add the URL of the PDF into the URL input box. And before adding this menu item, please remove the Credit & Privacy Guide page from existing menu.
