Add Cornerstone to posts and Custom Post Types

How do I add Edit with Cornerstone to a post or Custom Post Type edit page?

Hello @finkk,

Thanks for posting in! By default, Cornerstone is only enabled for pages. You can use Cornerstone to edit Posts and other custom post types by allowing post and other post types in X > Settings > Permissions > General. You will have to configure it.

Ah, that’s excellent - thanks for getting back.

Is there a simple way to create customised single.php files in X? I need to remove the sidebar for a custom post type but retain it in the main blog.

Or do I go by the traditional method of creating a file called: single-custom-post-type-name.php?

Yup, that’s the way to go, Custom Post Type Templates.

But please be reminded that we could not provide support for customizations like this, it would ultimately be your responsibility to take it from here.
