Hi, I’m looking to modify the look of recent posts on the home page I’m building. I’d like to add the information like in this screenshot:
I already am using a child theme, and am assuming I need to modify the functions.php file. Would I add code like this: https://theme.co/archive/forums/topic/adding-category-tagtext-to-recent-post-box/ or is there an updated method?

Thank you for reaching out to us. By default, the classic recent posts element will only display the featured image, the post title and the date. If you need to display the category of the post being assigned to, you will have to modify the classic recent posts element code. Perhaps this thread can help:
