I am trying to add the Amazon HTML to the Content Area. I created a new post, went to Pro, added Content area, selected HTML and when I view the page it shows the actual AMAZOM link instead of the image. However when I view the post within the article it shows all the photos properly displayed. How can I enable to same view of images to display LIVE once published instead of the HTML code? How do I add a secure attachment?
Hi @BusinessExpress,
Thank you for writing in, custom HTML should work inside the Content Area or RAW Content element. Please check your HTML code if there is a syntax error on it, you can use this tool here for checking HTML.
If the issue persists, try clearing all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache).
If that did not work, please do the common troubleshooting guide we provided here.
Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
The HTML code is copied directly from the affiliate link which has an image of the product on Amazon affiliate site. As mentioned in the original post Content Area is being used as you should see when you access the portal the. The plugins were deactivated, browser cached, reviewed common troubleshooting. Issue still remains. Ni syntax errors on Amazon links.
Hi @BusinessExpress,
Would you mind providing us the said HTML code so we can test it? Sorry but, I can’t find it anywhere on your pages.
Thanks,
Sure, thanks for assisting. When you select to view as seen to visitors you’ll see the links change from how you see it in PRO.
Hello @BusinessExpress,
You must been confused with the affiliate product link url and the affiliate HTML code. I have checked your page and you have inserted a product link url:
Link embedding is not supported in the content area element, it may display a preview but it is not working and has not been supported by the element. You must get the exact Amazon affiliate HTML embed code and not just the Amazon Affiliate Link. Kindly check out this documentation:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/node/topic/GXLR66LJ66YTAW2L
Hope this makes sense.
I decided to try a different product. Same issue occurs. Exact code is used every time. HTML Its not working on your site. A sad face image is seen once the exact Amazon affiliate HTML embed code is used which includes the image presented. Works perfect on the internal preview but external no so. Is this HTML not functioning on your page? Because it looks perfect on PRO but outside it shows gibberish.
Hey @BusinessExpress,
Let me clarify first that WordPress’ oEmbed somehow works in the builder preview but not in the frontend. I’ll post this in our issue tracker to clarify this with our development team if this just happened by accident or they really wish to support it.
For now, you should use the iframe
embed code. I tested it and it works. Please see the following screenshots.
Builder Preview
Frontend / Live Page
If your code doesn’t work, please contact Amazon support to give you correct iframe codes. Please note that our theme works. It’s just the 3rd party code that doesn’t.
Hope that helps.
